Very intense and short duration muscular effort made by a horse during a short distance competition (400 to 1,200 m) is characterized by a great anaerobic activity, and in it, its muscles do not consume oxygen as an energy source, but ATP (adenosintriphosphate) and creatine phosphate, a substance of protein origin that the body (human or animal) naturally synthesizes from glycine and arginine, two essential aminoacids. The quick exhaustion of the creatine phosphate reserves, at the end of a short distance race, reduces the capacity of muscle contraction, with the consequent loss of speed and resistance. However it is checked that proper supplementation of the equine, by means of Creatina Chinfield powder supplement, based on creatine monohydrate, glucose and ATP – enables to increase the reserves of this substance in the muscles, thus avoiding the quick exhaustion, and enabling to keep the speed longer. Creatina Chinfield is an ergogenic, over-the-counter an authorized consumption product.
One of the main reasons for the athlete to lose speed at the end of a work out is the exhaustion of the creatine phosphate reserves, which, together with the ATP constitute the main energy source in the maximum short duration efforts. When these elements are under exhaustion, the muscle contraction capacity starts to fail.
The addition of exogen creatine increases the chances of total storage of this substance in the muscle, thus delaying the exhaustion of creatine phosphate in high intensity contractions. Ergogenic product especially indicated for those animals that develop an anaerobic activity, such as the high intensity and short duration work out.
Load phase: 25 grams, 3 times a day (every 8 hours), during 7 consecutive days.
Maintenance phase: 25 g daily. A minimum 8 days’ duration treatment is recommended, including the test day, but the time of the product supply is up to the Veterinarian’s criterion.
Prolonged or chronic use should be avoided and replaced by the cyclic or periodic use, with its administration according to the indications in the paragraph. It is recommended not to exceed 20 days of treatment duration. Each time the treatment is restarted, the indications for both phases must be repeated, except a discontinuation in the administration is not longer than 3 days.
It is recommended to start the treatment 15 days before the competition.
